Juicing is a great way to add raw vegetables and fruits in your daily diet.  Juice is the purest form of organic water that anyone can consume. Since it is in a liquid form, it gets assimilated into blood stream quickly. Our digestive systems do not have to work to extract nutrients from the juice.

What makes Juices special?

Juices contain live enzymes, minerals, and phytonutrients essential for optimum function of our organs.  It delivers your cells with a super concentrated dose of essential nutrients.  Juicing is a great way to overcome and balance nutritional imbalance that we all have and often difficult to detect.

What to juice?

We love jucing wide variety of leafy and non leafy vegetables and fruits. The “Green” juices alkalizes the body PH. They exhibit anti-inflammatory property. They are full of antioxidants, contain compounds known as phytochemicals, vitamins, minerals and promote enzyme activities which helps with digestion. They help with detoxification of the vital organs.

When do you feel the impact of Juicing?

It depends on the individual’s body chemistry and all other variables such as exercising, diet and how well you sleep.  One thing is certain that you will sleep better, improve the clarity of your mind, have more energy, and feel vibrant.

Juice fast or Juice Cleanse?  What is the difference?

Our philosophy about it is it depends on an individual what he or she wants to call it.  Juice cleanse sounds more effective way of getting rid of toxins from our systems.  However, thinking at FLAVOR is, Juice fast achieves the similar results without being so stressed that you are on a Juice cleanse.  The goal is to reset the system and help body get rid of toxins from the vital organs like liver, kidneys, colon and even lungs.

What is a fast?

In different parts of the world and religious belief, fasting is observed throughout the year.  It involves, for example in Hinduism, skip a meal once a week or several times of the week.  In every 3 year, the calendar adds a month so people eat once a day for whole month.  Only eat fruits for a day or eat different food on certain days then what normally consumed. So fasting is to remain abstain from certain food throughout the year.  This gives digestive system tie to recover from constant processing. Also you will consume variety of food whole year.

Before Juice fast?

A warm up is necessary before you start exercising.  A prerequisite course is recommended or required before you take on higher level classes.  Similarly a preparation is recommended before you get on a juice fast.  A good way to start is to drink water, eat raw fruits and raw green salad.  If possible reduce or eliminate coffee and caffeinated drinks.  Lastly, don”t think about it too much, take it as any other day while on juice fast.

During Juice fast?

Only consume high quality live organic juices which contains wide variety of phytonutrients. A juice fast program with most greens is recommended but not everyone is at that level.  So select a good combinations of green leafy vegetables and root vegetables along with some fruit.  If you really want to bite on something then bite on a Pear, Apple, Nuts like almonds, cashews or walnuts.  You can have a green salad.  Dont over exert your self but moderate exercise like walking will keep you occupied and make you sleep better.

After Juice fast?

A cool down is necessary after workout. Similarly, continue with good habit that you formed during juie fast.   A good way to start coming out of a juice fast is to drink water, eat raw fruits and raw green salad. Then incoporate whole grains and then move on other healthier choices.
